It’s a family af-Fair!

On behalf of the Canadian County Fair Board members, Secretary Ted Mittelstaedt, and our County’s OSU Extension staff, I welcome you to the 2010 Canadian County Free Fair. The dates for the 56th annual event are August 23-28. I encourage everyone to check the 2010 Fair schedule for a complete rundown on all events and activities, pick the ones that most

interest you and your family, then come and enjoy. Our Canadian County Fair truly has something for everyone, from the livestock and educational exhibits to the carnival and musical entertainment. Each year our fair has grown and we are grateful for the support from our community. The sponsors for this years Fair are Nomac Drilling, Mathena Energy, King Electric, Mercy Hospital El Reno and Great Plains Drilling. They help to make our Fair possible. The

entertainment for this year will include Bobby Boyles and Friends on Friday night. Bobby is a

local musician and his southern gospel sound has been featured on Discover Oklahoma. Saturday night has Camille Harp on stage for an exciting night of entertainment. Camille will be joined by her parents who have played the red dirt Oklahoma rodeos since Camille was 4 years old. Harps music ranges from catchy dance tunes to heart-wrenching melodic love songs. I encourage everyone to bring the family and enjoy Americana at its best. So come early and enjoy because It’s a family af-Fair!
